Phone Lock / Lockout
Central Lockout service
The central configuration allows setting up a general call lock/restriction. Using the central Lockout service phones may be prevented from initiating external or internal calls. This is applicable for Cisco phones as well as for Jabber.
The call lock can be configured with pre-defined exceptions. For instance, emergency numbers may be excluded. This whitelist is easily created up-front.
The call lock can be limited to external numbers or exclude a specific number (range). Internal calls are – in spite of a call lock – always possible.
The Lockout additionally provides the possibility to not only lock a phone for calls but also for Cisco and NTW phone services.
Lockout service on the phone
The Lockout service on the phone enables the user to lock their own extension.
The phone lock is established directly on the phone using a password or PIN – no phone reset needed. Just as easily the phone lock can be lifted. Locking and unlocking does not necessitate a phone reset.
Jabber Lockout
If the WebTab has been included in Jabber, the Lockout functionality may be used there. An active lock will be displayed as a closed lock. For locking/unlocking Jabber the user needs a PIN or password.
